    Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie here...been reading posts for a while, but now that chicks have arrived, I thought I'd better sign up.

I received these chicks today from McMurray...supposed to be SLW, but they have feathered legs. Did I accidentally get another variety (like a Brahma)? Or are these a mixed breed? Any ideas? I'll try to post pictures...the forum won't let me because I'm a newbie.

    Thanks for your help!

I'd call the hatchery, see if they can help you. Maybe they'll send you the correct breed and you'll get bonus chicks? Wyandottes don't have feathered legs, someone messed up.

Did they send any extra? It might be a packing peanut for extra warmth?
