Hi, I am new here so I hope this is the right place to post!

I recently bought my first chickens and my rooster is a Silver Phoenix and Ameraucana cross.

My hens are silver Phoenix/Ameraucana, Buff Orpington, Rhode Island Red and White Leghorn.

I am thinking of trying to hatch a few eggs for fun and just to see if I can(not trying to sell them or show them)

I was curious if anyone had any experience with chickens of more than one or two breeds.

Any idea on what I'll end up with? Egg production? Temperament?

Should I swap my mixed rooster for one that is only a single breed?

I know that breeding can be complicated but any advice or idea of what to expect would be appreciated!

Thanks on advance!

Many people own mixed breed chickens. I'm unsure of what you'll get but egg production, temperament, and coloring normally is a mix of the 2 parents. The entire "breed" called Easter Eggers really is a mix of Ameraucana and any other chicken.
