We have one Royal Palm turkey, about six weeks old. We also have nine three week old ducklings. They all get along well, and the turkey spends a lot of time with the ducks. They share food and water with no problem. I am hoping to keep them all together. I've kept ducks before, but not turkeys.

As I prepare to build their outdoor area, I have one question. What height will I need the coop and run to be to suit a turkey. Last time, for the ducks, I kept everything 3 foot tall, but I'm sure the turkey will need more height, how tall should I build?

Thanks

Young turkeys can fly up pretty well, they can be hard to keep in without covering the run. As adults they fly less, but it's still best to cover the run. Most adult toms will stay in a 4-6 foot run, hens can depend on whether they want out or not.
