I love it!! Wow, wonderful work!

and you have?? 6 hens I hehe tried to count
great that you have a gate to the run . How is the coop part set up?
This is something like what we are going to do, a roof covered run, just extend the unroofed run out more for a bigger run space.
Good morning ❤️. I have 9 ladies and 6 of them are laying. My Eggers and cream legbar do not lay in the colder months. Go figure my diva green and blue egg layers choose not to contribute in the winter. I keep telling myself that will allow them to lay for a longer period of time then:fl

Here is the entire coop. Nothing fancy but it works for the girls. Thanks for the suggestion GrandmaDekorte! I had really no idea what I was doing when this was built and got many ideas on the coop threads. I used many of DobieLovers ideas from her coop. Love her setup. I attempted to have a brooder setup beneath the nesting boxes, but my builder got a little over zealous and that area is tough to get into and largely not usable for now. Good thing about wood….it can be cut! I might use the space beneath one of the roosting areas if I ever choose to expand the flock or need a broody time-out space.

Biggest lesson I have a learned about keeping chickens is nothing is ever constant

Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday with family and friends. Enjoy the weekend🥰

I like the storage area , That would save me space in the house. I keep all of the chicken supplies in the pantry. I have never used poop boards, I have sand on the coop floor and scoop it every morning, hahah a big litter box.

everything looks great!

@Frankiegirl, I love your coop! It looks nice and roomy, airy and clean. Good job!
Thanks! It’s perfect for me and the girls. I didn’t realize how much I would love these little critters and how contagious they are 🥰. It’s fun listening to them while I’m on the side porch do what chickens do.

Hope everyone is enjoying their evening.
