Ive got a roo whos maybe a year old. Hes been fine and i noticed 2 days ago he wasnt standing tall like he normally does. Today during a photo shoot i picked him up and he smells bad. like rotting flesh. Under close look the feathers are nasty and falling out on his back. I didnt notice because he looks fine until you move the top layer. The skin is black/brown and is hard if you tap it. Smells horrible and there is no sign of any injury. Never seen it and would like to know if i need to kill him.

Ooh, that doesn't look good. I don't have any advice but this should bump your post up the line. Good Luck with your Roo!

cut the feathers around the area and expose it to air and light, the smell must've come from somewhere with an open cut....
