My rooster has been sick recently and i nursed him back to health by hand feeding him every hour with a puréed feed with vitamins and greens, and electrolytes. I thought he had coccidiosis, so i started treating him with corrid, but it didn’t seem to be helping. He was initially so weak he couldn’t lift his head up, or hardly stand. He also swung his head back and forth until he would fall over. It was sad and strange behavior. Once i got nutrients in him enough he could stand and eat and drink on his own. He’s still super skinny, and sometimes falls over. I need to know if there’s something i can supplement into his food that will help him get stronger and gain weight. He never crows, and never tries mounting the girls. Is he broken??

Can you post a picture of him?

Chickens can’t be “broken…” How old is he? He may not be sexually mature yet.

Is he pooping alright?
