    (3) What breeds do you have?

    (4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Stress reliever, good for my mom who has dementia, good learning opportunity for my teenagers.

    (6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a single mother of 17yo identical twin daughters and 18yo son. I quit working (bartender)to take care of my mother full time. ( schizophrenic with dementia) I have 5 small dogs, chihuahua mini poodle mix, 3 pygmy goats on way.
    (7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I found BYC thru a Google search (trying to decide which breed of chickens to purchase ) I lurked for a month, joined to ask what flavor (breed lol) my Bantams were :) I have learned so much from this community of chicken lovers.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined
My partner was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's 2 years ago. I know how very stressful being a caretaker of a dementia patient can be. I too find myself watching the chickens for stress relief and relaxation. Good luck to you and your mom. :hugs
