Hi guys,
I am new to the forum and have an emergency with my little Frizzle, she has stripped the skin from the top of her thigh all the way down to her ankle and it is just all flesh. The inside of her thigh has a puncture mark with some muscle showing. I have cleaned with salt water and bathed in betadine and wrapped in a bandage. Can anyone tell me if this is ok or should I be taking her to the vet to be put to sleep as I don't want her to suffer.

Only you can make that decision. How is she acting?? Does she look like she is suffering?? In some of the stories I have read here, chickens have recovered from some horrid injuries. I would add some abx ointment to what you have done already. Some people give aspirin for pain, but I don't know the dosage. I bet you could find the info with a search here though.

How is she doing?? Did you have to put her down??
