My Delaware chicks are the biggest bunch of slobs I have ever had. They were wasting more feed than they were consuming. I have the plastic 10 lb feeder with the sections at the bottom. So while having morning coffee by the run and watching $$$$$ go all over the ground it comes to me that if I take chicken wire cut the center out of it, slip it over the cylinder, cut another circle with ample fold over, than take the infamous DUCT TAPE and tape the raw end of the wire the whole circumfrence around the feed tray..........................NO MORE WASTED FEED. Probably been done a 100 times by others. It's like asking for directions, I will figure it out with my on anvil headed brain. [IMG]
