Sleeping Turkeys

    I checked on my turkeys late last night after checking varmit traps and almost had a panic attack at first but I didn't know that when turkeys roost and sleep that their head droop down below were they are roosting on!!

    Guess it was just one of those things, I have so much to learn about them and the chickens!

    Aren't they fun?
    When my Bourbon Reds were younger (and smaller) they would use my arm for a roost. In slow motion their skinny little necks would droop down and they'd take a nap.
    They remind me of Fred Flintstone's brontosaurus thing that he "operated" at work in the stone quarry.[​IMG]
