Sleeping with our babies ( the feathery kind )

Alright, well I just got out of bed from a nap with my new baby emu, ( he is small about 4 weeks old) . I did indeed sleep all the way not half awake, but I still new he was right beside me asleep as well. I hate to say it but I made a bad decision sleeping with my emu, ( he is still alive ). Though I could have easily rolled on him a squish him not aware. I do not recommend sleeping with your animals for it can turn for the worst. I'm not saying don't snuggle or lay down with them all I am saying is please be awake or not sleepy when you are with them. This goes for everything, not just baby emus. I have had people have make this mistake and loose a very close animal or hurt them. I have mad this mistake even. I don't know why I wrote this, I just had an urge to. Thank you
