Sleepy baby chick

I was wondering if this was normal-I have a 3 day old lavender ameraucana chick and it keeps falling asleep. The others are chirping and eating but she just falls asleep. Even if I pick her up she doesn't even open her eyes. She is a little smaller than the rest.

It sounds like she's not doing too well.
Do you have any Poultry Nutri-Drench? I would give her 2-3 drops twice a day.
Try to get her hydrated and then see if she will eat some wet feed for you.

I agree with the suggestion of Nutri-drench, and getting her to drink. She needs hydration.

Usually you can find Poultry Nutri-Drench at TSC.

Is she staying more under the heat than the others?
Hard to know if she has something else going on - with tiny chicks often the best you can do is keep them drinking/eating, provide a source of heat and hope for the best.

Yes she is under the lamp right now, but she will fall asleep anywhere you put her.

Also when the other chicks run around they step on her but she doesn't wake up.
