My blue cochin is slow growing. She seems very happy just very small. Anyone seen this before

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Cochins are a breed that often lags behind. It's normal. Just make sure she is eating, drinking and acting like the others.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. The other members might be right about her being a bantam Cochin. Even if she is a standard Cochin, like all of the really heavy breeds (Jersey Giants, Brahmas as well), they are slow to mature. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your Cochin.

Lol...I remember my first Bantam. Bought 4 chicks all the same size. A week later one "just isn't growing right"...
