This is my new roo, free for the taking and much prettier than my Red Comet roos that are out the door saturday! I'm positive he is partially wyandotte with a rose comb and the SLW body, but the black in the lacing has a green sheen and his top feathers are yellowish instead of white. He's also HUGE! I'm not sure on a weight, but at least 3x as heavy as my comet roos.

looks like a pure SLW Roo... the yellowishness is either sunburnt feathers or too much corn in diet. The green sheen is typical in black feathers (as is a purple sheen) - some breed their flocks for the sheen to be one color rather than the other (some breeds their SOP calls for purple colored sheen and vice versa - no idea why [IMG] )

    Very very handsome boy [IMG]
