So my SLW that has been in question since she was 3 weeks old has matured to the point that I think it is a Roo. No crowing yet, no spurs.. but I am thinking these are saddle feathers? Any opinions are appreciated.

I am no expert, but those look like saddle feathers to me.

Of course, my luck I gave the other SLW (which was a pullet) to a guy my husband works with and the flock didnt accept her and she dissapeared.. now Im stuck with the other one who is a roo and will have to rehome him. from 7, 6, 5... and losing a would be brown egg layer and no room for chicken math [IMG]
When might he start crowing? Now it just bawk bawk's still

Oh that is a boy. I would imagine you will start to hear crowing anytime from now to 5-6 months or so.
