This may be a silly question, but how confident can I be that this 8 week old Silver Laced Wyandotte is a pullet? "She" isn't showing much comb development, but what is there is much redder than my other pullets of the same age. She is also showing much more wattle development than the others - but less than the Production Red cockerel that came in the same batch of chicks. "She" tends to flare her hackles and chest bump the PR cockerel often. I'm also not sure whether the pointed appearance I'm noticing in some of the hackle feathers is a visual distortion due to the lacing pattern.

    Thoughts?

Hi, that looks like a pullet.

In the laced varieties the wings on the boys are more solid in color without much lacing. While the girls get nice lacing on the wings.

I'm no expert though. I can't see pointy saddle feathers but may be because of the distortion in the pic.
