Hi, I originally set 18 salmon faverolles (collected from a breeder 110 miles away) 2 clear on day 10 so I have 16 that are developing nicely. These eggs are like gold dust to me I have always wanted salmon faverolles, I have kept the temp at a constant 37.5c (checked with 3 thermometers) and the humidity has been 40% slight fluctuations towards 45% I have marked the air cells today (day 14) and they look small for day 14 to me, not that I have took that much notice before but I wanted to be extra careful with these eggs, I’m panicking now
I have taken the water out and it’s at 35% at the minute although I expect it will drop lower as the water tray thoroughly drys out. How low is too low regarding humidity? Has this happened to anyone else? Do I leave it low until lockdown (this Friday) and hope that the air cells get larger, then add water at lockdown?
any help/advice appreciated
