I have a hen, a production red that has been laying really small egg. The small egg pictured next to a large egg. Anyone have a clue? This is the second in about 8 days. Old Age?

Does it have a yolk? If not, it's called a "fart egg" or a "witch egg."

It just happens sometimes.

Not sure why it would happen twice in two days, but it's not harmful.

Dont know if it had a yolk or not. I'll check the next one, if there is another one. Counter-surfing dog got the eggs before I could check it.
