I have one hen (Isa brown) which lays the biggest egg every day (not a double) but if I'm not there almost immediately the egg is broken. At first I thought I had an egg breaker so I started to go out to the coop more frequently only to discover that the small end of the egg is soft, it's always the small end and It's always soft. They chickens are on a layer ration with oyster shell and they get all the scraps from the house. I have 13 other chickens that lay eggs with shell Rambo would struggle to break. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear... She is only 2 years old.
