My 5 barred rocks are approaching 3 weeks old. I purchased them all at the same time...
from the feed store where they all arrived in the same box from the hatchery....

All of the girls are doing great... they all eat, drink and have different personalities.
I do notice that one of the chicks doesn't seem to be growing or feathering out at the
same rate as the other 4. She is a bit smaller. The others are getting fully feathered
where the smaller one is just starting to get feathers... and has just a hint of tail feathers
coming out, whereas the others have noticeable tail feathers. The small one's wings seem
small too.

Is this typical... the way people have different "body types".... maybe she'll catch up at some
point... but just thought I'd ask if anyone has any insights.

picts attached. Thanks.

My frizzle Cochin didn't start feathering until she was a good 4-5 weeks old. Usually it's a rooster trait, but my frizzle Cochin is defiantly a pullet. She has the most soft silky beautiful feathers I've seen on a chicken.

I wouldn't worry as long as their eating, drinking and running around.
