Smartest Domesticate Bird?

    I guess this is going to be a little biased being on the Goose forum...

    Are geese truly the most intelligent of all the barnyard fowl?

    From knowing my geese, I would have to say they are. They seem a lot more evolved then chickens or even ducks.

    Certainly a very long ways from smartest domesticated bird, but probably the smartest barnyard fowl. They learn easily and remember forever. There is a communication problem with training them, or they would be doing tricks for treats like a dog.

    I think my ducks are pretty smart, but they are locked into group-think, like a herd of drones.
