My eggs were due to hatch yesterday, and there is a nasty odor permeating from my incubator. [IMG] I figured I'd go through and try and figure out which were the rotten ones. I sifted out several that were extra nasty, some that had never started and some that had quit early on with mere blood rings.

    But then I found this...

So needless to say, I think perhaps these guys are going to be a few more days. Hopefully some will hatch. I think that guy there might actually make it since I didn't nick any blood vessels and he's been moving about for us inside the incubator for hours since I opened the shell. I did make sure my humidity was high to try and prevent him from drying out.

You may want to wrap it up in a moist papertowel.

I just did so, and won't open the incubator up again unless absolutely necessary. I'll keep everyone posted. [IMG]

Well shoot. Ok. Time to go stare intently into the incubator... (And here I was thinking I would actually go to bed early tonight... I'll be lucky if I go to bed at all!! [IMG])

I'm hatching Coturnix today, too. I bought Texas A&Ms, Jumbo Browns and Tuxedo eggs from AussieSharon. Today's day 16 and I have a few pips. [IMG] Hope yours does well!
