Hey yall,
My dad and I were letting one of our broody hens lay on her eggs in hope for babies, we waited a few weeks and realized there are some broken ones at the bottom. We didn't get them before the smell came. How can you get the smell of rotten eggs out of a wooden nesting box?

I really don't know how. I would move the Mom for a little bit, and scrape the broken egg off the wood. Then put vinegar on it to hopefully get the smell out. Then put fresh hay and the eggs and momma back.

Hope this helps

Thank you BoomChickaPop, we moved her and the unbroken eggs to a different nesting box, do you think the vinyl stick on tiles would work to line the boxes to prevent this from happening again?

I am not sure, cause when this happens, my other hens go crazy and gobble up the mess for me lol.
