Snacks for my Ladies

So i have 6 baby chicks, the ladies are about a week old. I was wondering if its to early to give them snacks, like hard boiled eggs or meal worms.

Nope, not too early at all. You can give them stuff right from the get go. Just like they would in nature! Grass clippings, food scraps, bugs, rotten logs to peck at...they will love it all.

You can give them anything as long as you supply grit. No you don't have to go to the feed store and buy grit. Just get some sandy dirt and give it to them. Your chicks have to have grit to digest their food. I get grit, (sand) from alongside the creek that runs by our house. We have also given them dirt from our garden. We put it into a foil baking pan and let them have at it. They take dust baths, scratch around and get enough grit to digest their food.
