Snake ate baby keets

One of my broody chickens hatched 11 guinea keets 2 days ago. This morning I walked in the coop to find a snake in the enclosure with them & 4 keets missing. Would it help at all to keep a light on 24/7 in there? Would this deter another snake at all? That particular snake will not be eating again, but just wondering if the light is on in there if that would be a deterrent to another snake.
