Snake refusing to get out of hiding

I have a baby corn stake hiding in a plastic tree from pet-smart and I can't get him out! I have tried breaking the tree but he moved to another branch. Please help!

He may be about to shed. Has he been eating much lately?
If that's not the case he might just not want to be bothered right now.

I handle him about two times a day. He's eaten 2 days ago. It must be him not wanting to be bothered. Also, thank you!
