We have a flock of 6 white leg horns and 6 Silver Wyandotte’s. One of the leghorn’s is sneezing (not continuously). They are all 24 1/2 weeks old. The weather has been getting cooler and a bit more damp. Any ideas what we can do for her? Or should we not be concerned?

Whatever you do, do not give her chicken soup. LOL.

Welcome To BYC!

Does she have any mucous coming from the nostrils, watery or bubbly eyes or other symptoms?
How often is she sneezing?
If you can post some photos of her that may help.

Look her over to make sure she's not got dirt blocking her nostrils and take note of when you notice sneezing - like has she been eating/drinking (food/water in the nostrils?) or maybe when she's dust bathing?
Any occasional sneeze is just a sneeze. If you notice other symptoms or she sneezes so much it keeps her from eating/drinking and her normal activities, then it's time to investigate further.

ha. ha. Jokes aside - Chickens could have some chicken soup every once in a while as a treat if one wished to do that - no harm, just watch salt intake.

I have only noticed her doing it a few times. I have not seen anything dripping from her nostrils or eyes. It could have been just sneezes since it was harvest season (so tons of dust in the air) and the weather has flucuated.
