My hen Snowy (she is a mutt I think) has been sneezing off and on for the last 10 - 15 min. We just got home from a picnic so I don't know exactly when this started. Should I put my flock on tetracyclin? What should I do? Please help, since Red died she has been my best layer!
    Thanks
    Mollie

Quote:If she has been eating feed crumbles, perhaps she has inhaled dust particles causing her to sneeze. I've had this happen before and they eventually clear it out themselves by sneezing. Other environmental causes could be dirt/dust, pollen, smoke, ammonia from soiled bedding, pesticides on the lawn, mold etc...

Thank you.. I have been a little paranoid since Red died. Guess it comes with the territory. I will keep an eye on her for a few more days. Hopefully it will be nothing and will clear up on its own.
