sneezing

i have a 6 wk old black sex linked chick that sneezes. For awhile i thought it might be due to the bedding (she loves to roll in it) and its still not spreading.

Today i had the chicks outside for a couple hrs and she's still sneezing out there! Is it something i should worry about?

Perfect, bedding must not be your problem then.

How often is she sneezing? What are you using as her brooder?

i notice 5 max in a 30 min period when she's in the house. I'm using a heavy duty rubber maid tub that wasn't used for anything before and i washed it before putting them in there.

I would clean your brooder and wipe the sides of it with a wet paper towel (to get rid of the dust). I would make sure that you have enough ventilation in there.
The dust may be irritating her.

i've now noticed 2 other chicks starting to sneeze as well. is it time to try and medicate them?
The first chick has been sneezing occasionally for more then 2 wks time..... how long is the incubation period for most respiratory illnesses in chickens?

Hope they get better
