We had 18 inches last week but got rain, 48* temps and it all melted today. More coming next week--10 to 20 inches they say. That's life in upstate NY when one lives downwind of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.

Zero. i'm in California, the low land part. Although last winter we got a sprinkling one morning. It was very magical, but gone in a couple hours. i'm not sure i have the fortitude to live somewhere that snows a lot.

Luckily we are just on the edge of the snow belt, so no 300 inch winters where I am..

    ----------------

Lets see we have 1 1/2 feet of snow on the ground, temp around zero and a -25 wind chill..

It is perfectly normal for us... An "average" winter temp for Dec, Jan, Feb is highs in the single digits to teens with lows around -10

By the way the coop is not heated with anything but chickens... However it is insulated better than 90% of the houses in the US:D
