Snug in their new coop...

My daughter took this picture of my chickies all snug in their new coop, and sleeping on the high roost. I was worried they wouldn't be able to get up there - it's 4 feet up. So the first night I put their old roost in there - it's only a couple feet up. They've been sleeping in there since Monday, and this is the second night they've been on the high roost. They'll be ten weeks old on Sunday.

Awwww fabulous - my poor chickens are still in a design challenged coop without proper high roosts - yours are just so cute all in a row I love the mix of colours too!

Thanks! I got them from Meyer Hatchery. The white ones are White Rocks, then there is at least one Barred Rock, one Fayoumi, and at least one Speckled Sussex. There might also be an Ancona and/or a Blue Andalusian in the mix. Not really sure. I ordered the Rainbow Pullet pack.

What a beautiful line of chickens! So cute how they are all sitting. Mine roost in little groups of 3 or 4, and I have one that likes to perch way up in the rafters. I just found a small coop for my bantam Cochin frizzles and Millie Fluer.
