Hi there! I'm Tracy B, your chicken sister from Wildomar, California. Our family started keeping backyard chickens about 4 years ago in our city home. We started with 12 and have since moved to a more rural area where we have many chickens now along with 3 ducks, a couple of turkeys and a pot belly pig. We have been building a mini farm in one area of our acre and I proud to have completed about 700 square ft of pens and housing for our animal family. My next project is planting a chicken garden on our hillside to help keep these guys supplied with fresh healthy greens. My favorite chicken so far has been a Copper-Laced Wyandotte. Not only was she beautiful, she was a great motherly hen, and people-friendly. This year I purchased about 20 Blue Wyandotte chicks to add to our flock. I'm also excited to see how our Speckled Sussex and Barnevelder chicks turn out. I'll keep you posted!
