The part that is super exciting to me is this, I separated my own egg whites! Why is this exciting, you ask. Because I was raised vegan in our home, I have never actually separated egg whites before. Plus when I used to buy eggs occasionally as an adult I couldn't stand wasting "half the egg I paid for." Now though I have almost more eggs than I know what to do with and I was searching for some holiday treats I could make with what I have in my kitchen. I gave the yolks to my dog who was very grateful. This is SO COOL! I mean I have heard the term, "whipped into stiff peaks" but really I had no idea, I mean it looked like whipping cream and it was just water and egg whites. How do they do that?
