so excited..I just ordered my first chicks

    I just got off the phone with Cackle hatchery i just ordered my first ever chicks!!

    I ordered

    25 Jumbo Cornish Cross (st run)
    5 Buff Orpington pullets
    5 Black Austrolorp pullets
    5 Barred Rock pullets
    5 Welsummer (st run)

    4 Broadbreasted Bronze turkeys (st run)

    1 Rouen hen
    1 Rouen drake

    The ducks are for my daughter.



    They will be delivered the first week of July!

    I can't wait!!!

    WOW!!! That's what I'm thinking too. That's a lot for the first time.

    I hope you've read lots and lots and are well prepared with a HUGE brooder or two because they grow so fast.

    I was too chicken to order. Didn't want anything to go wrong with the little darlings in shipment. I was lucky the local feed store ordered the variety I wanted. They got to see the DOA - not me.
