because it wasn't drying in the incubator. It wasn't supposed to hatch until tomorrow. DH was supposed to help me finish getting a brooder ready today, but fixing our gas line took priority over everything else. Now DH is out riding his motorcycle and can't hear his cell phone ringing...dang harley!

The thing is, I don't know what this thing is. The eggs are from pbjmaker and she hasn't checked in with me today. I have severe memory issues so I can't remember what she told me she sent. It looks kinda like a silkie, but.... [IMG]

Sure hope it wasn't the baby dragon Imp was hoping for. It's awful close to some important parts of my body. [IMG]

It's a guinea dragon. I think you're ok so long as it isn't a turkey.

It'll be a longer drive than it would've been last week, but come on. Just leave your dragon, guinea, turkey at home please.[IMG]

It's okay,. baby dragons are like baby geese. They imprint on whatever they see first. It will not hurt you, or any of your under-the-shirt parts. The problem comes when they get bigger and want to keep following you everywhere with their big scaly wings knocking stuff over, and it's a real mess before they get the fire breathing stuff under control.
    Good luck.

I swear this thing does not look like a chicken, except for the feet.

We finally got the brooder finished and it's in there resting comfortably now and I still have all my under the shirt parts....*whew*. Now I gotta hope another one of these *things* hatches so I'm not raising a singleton.

Pbjmaker is still M.I.A. so I still don't know what it is. [IMG]

    I'm thinking frizzled silkie? [IMG]

Whatever it is, we named it Dragon.
