He seems to still have claws. This cat has cost me a fortune over his lifetime having reason to remove them all one by one. Granted I love the cat and the possums he kills. Just my random musings.

Declawing a cat is CRUEL. No ifs ands or buts about it. The absolute worst thing you can do. And I don’t even like cats.@Aapomp831 Why would you respond like that? I think that is rude.
You don't even know what the poster is musing about.
Well that’s a different story, I guess. My cat is not declawed. He has injured his claws over the years. I hope this clears up some of the discussion. It is his most common injury to have a claw bent out 90 degrees from normal.
This leaves me speechless. I sat here thinking, trying to look at both sides. You don't know why claw monster has lost it's claws over the years. Seems if the owner didn't want claws he would have completely declared all at once, not 1 claw at a time. Your response, "cruel", was knee jerk reaction. What happened to respect? Respect for others.Declawing a cat is CRUEL. No ifs ands or buts about it. The absolute worst thing you can do. And I don’t even like cats.
Most vets refuse to do it anymore, even in places where it is still allowed. Call me rude all you want, I don’t care. It’s better than being cruel to animals.
It is extremely cruel. Educate yourself.....it's not that cruel. They do it under sedation. It's not recommended to declaw outdoor cats, or to remove the claws from their hind legs. I've also never been inclined to declaw my cats, apparently neither has the OP.
Ok.It is extremely cruel. Educate yourself.
