So.... I thought I had 3 buff orpingtom pullets, but slight red comb, help!!!

these are our 3 sweet buff orps at 8 weeks old; Princess Buttercup, Alice and Penny. They all have same shape tail feathers from what my new eye, same color, one is smaller than the other 2, but not by much. Then I saw this reddish comb and beginning of waddle this week, at 8 weeks. is this a normal time for pullets to begin developing them, or are these beginning to show signs of roo? help!!

I think they're pullets. They have to start growing their comb sometime or another! Their combs aren't that big for their age. Hope I helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 6wk old with a bigger comb than theirs. I think you can feel safe they are female.

I have 3 BO as well and they are almost 7 weeks. I have ended up with 2 roos and their combs are much bigger and redder than yours are. I have 1 pullet, she has a comb but it is light and still rather small. Believe they are all girls~
