I had a black chick with white spots and a yellow chick with some feathers already, they didn't tell me anything about them except one was a "buff". Well unfortunately the black chick was very sick and died the next morning I cleaned everything and my yellow baby I note call" cheesecake " is growing and doing well. Just want to know what kind of chicken I may have? Estimate age? And if it's okay to just keep one or should I get more, I have the space and never wanted him-her to be lonely.... Sometimes i think cheesecake thinks he's a parrott! Thank you in advance!!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sorry about the chick you lost. You can post pictures of the other chick in the What Breed/gender forum for help with figuring out what it is https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this Buff Orpington is another guess for a popular yellow bird with "Buff" in the name ... it could be a red sex link like Golden Comet (Golden Buffs are another version) though from that pictures it seems a little lighter gold in color than they usually are.
Chickens are flock animals and generally do best with company, if you can, you might consider getting more chicks (it is nice to have more than two chickens in general, that way in case you lose one you aren't left with one bird).
Be sure to check out the BYC Learning Center, lots of nice articles on all aspects of poultry keeping you'll find helpful with your new chicks.

If you get a buddy or two for Cheesecake - try to get them around the same size & age - so hopefully there won't be any bullying.
