Sounds right to me, I have 14 chickens and 2 ducks and they go through that much if not more.

My 7 LF cochins go through a pound per day. I have a no-waste feed setup and they free-range for a few hours in the evening.

I guess I should really go home and hug my hens.

I feed an organic feed. Unfortunately it is not in a no waste set up but it is elevated to reduce waste. They free range 2 hours a day and get minor treats and one 14 oz cup of scratch for 11 birds.

They go through 15 lbs in about 10 days. so 15 x 16 oz/lb = 240 oz./ 10 days is 24 oz / day aand 24 / 11 is 2.2 oz / day.

I guess they are good free rangers.

They are also not stingy with the eggs most days lately have been 10 for 11 or 11 for 11
