SOCIALIZING 9 day old silkies - afraid of me

Hi! They were shipped and all 6 had bad pasty butt that would take about 4 hours total each day to remove from all chicks days 4-7. Two were force fed 2 days to keep them alive. Everyone is healthy now but they're terrified of me lol! I mean I'm sure they didn't love the "care" I provided.

I've tried putting my hand in with food just about 3 times but they run away in horror cheaping like the reaper is coming then piling against the brooder together. Any suggestions I should try? I want cuddly happy PETS. There was a great article but the first step is for them to run towards your hand for food and... well... I'm not sure that'll happen.

If there is any way you can do so, approach them on their level. As prey animals chicks instinctively dislike being approached from above.
