She's a 2 1/2 year-old light brahma who has been laying a fine egg every other day or so. I've only had her about three weeks. Today's egg had a thin soft shell with what I can only think was blood on one end of it. I've probably been giving too many treats and will go buy calcium/oyster shell tomorrow. But what's up with the blood? All her other eggs have been perfect and clean.

Sometimes a spot of blood happens, usually not problem unless it happens repeatedly.
At 2 1/2 she may be getting ready to molt, they can lay funky eggs as they stop egg production to molt.

Definitely make sure she has balanced nutrition...treats should only be 5-10% of total daily feed volume.
