Hi Everyone,

I have a very sweet 1 year old Astolop who has been having diarrhea and appears to be laying soft eggs (the shell isn't fully formed) for a couple weeks now. She had mites, but we got those completely under control and I've been putting diatomaceous earth in the feed, and all around the coop. The other ladies seem to be doing fine, and her energy level looks normal. I'm not sure how to start figuring out causes/treatments. I did a bit of internet searching, but that left me more confused than I started. Does anyone have thoughts?

Thank you so much!

Sara

I’m thinking worms right out of the box.

Are you providing oyster shell on the side or crushed egg shells?

Do you have access to a vet?

Many don’t “see chickens” but are happy to run a fecal sample (+\- $20) for you for a nominal fee and you get an answer in just a few minutes.

What type of intestinal parasites they find would determine the best type of wormer.
