Hello everyone! First time here and first time owning chickens. I bought this bird at Tractor Supply 3 months ago and was told she was supposed to be an ISA Brown. I bought her at the same time as two Cinnamon Queens. She grew quite a bit larger than them and I bought several more chickens from a friend today that are two months older than her and none have the comb that she does... Is she actually a he and if so what kind?

I will be thrilled if it's really a roo. I've been wanting one but wanted to wait to find out for sure about this one first

That's a New Hampshire Cockerel. Production Reds are not that pale (in my experience. I've only owned about twenty, so I've not experienced the entire spectrum of colours, I'm sure. However, all the ones I've owned have been some variation of red, rather than orange.)

When should I expect Spurs? There's no hint of them currently

Who knows? I've had cockerels at six months that were still just budding, and I've had ones that had a solid inch of spur. About half an inch at six months is the average, but it really varies quite widely.

Good luck with him.
