I had gotten out of Button Quail, but then our son decided he wanted to hatch a batch as a 4H project... we wound up with 25 new birds. [IMG] We will have them for a little while longer, until their new owners take them home. But until then I have eggs. So far I have 25 Button Quail eggs, mixed parentage. I'm horrible with the color names... pictures below. They've been laying for a while, and we've been boiling them and feeding them back to the chickens. But if someone would like to do a fertility test on them, I'd be happy to mail them out. $7.50 to cover s/h is all I'd ask. [IMG]

16-18 day incubation period, same parameters as chicken eggs. Easy to turn by hand, if needed.

Post Sold here, and PM me! That's all there is to it!

I've never succeeded in hatching a single Button Quail, so it's a good thing I don't have the $7.50!

Quote:I will be shipping out Kelsey's eggs on Friday... Bluedog, if you would like the next week's eggs, I will save them for you. [IMG] I'll PM you the information. I will have to wait and see if I have more after that... I don't know when they're going to their new home exactly.
    Thanks!

At what age do your button quail start to "lay"?

It depends... they usually mature around 6 weeks, but I've had some take 9-10 weeks to lay. They're in tune to the temperatures and daylight, so having them near a window where they can see out and get a little sunshine is good.
