Solution to a mean drake

During the "photo shoot" for the Christmas card, Drake was not cooperating. He was trying to attack the hat (don't really blame him). Even when the hat was on the ground, he tried to attack it. So, at one point while trying to place the hat over his head, he stuck his bill into it! It actually calmed him down (and probably cut off oxygen to his little brain for a short time)!!

....that sounds familiar.
My big drake thinks my shoulder is his perch...and his way of telling me that he wants his neck massaged is to stick his beak in my shirt pocket and use that as his personal head rest. If I happen to wear a shirt with no pocket...he expresses his discontent by biting on my ear....unless I want pierced ears (or any at all) I have to remember to have a shirt pocket handy if I want to sit on my own patio.
