These are my younger roosters, they are all mixes except for the Cochin. I have guesses on most of them.

First is 5toes, he has five toes, a few feathers on his legs, white ear lobes, and a crest. My guess is Silkie with some kind of game.

Second is Elvis the banty Cochin. I originally thought he was birchen but he is now getting gold feathers.

Here he is sparring with one of my older roosters. [IMG]

Third is ChickChick, I thought he was a Delaware but now he's getting light yellow feathers in on his wings and hackles, and he has white legs (with one blue toe).

Fourth is JJ, He looks birchen and has a pea comb. My guess is EE.

Last but not least is Birda, mega mutt, he looks similar to RIR/Polish I've seen here on BYC, but hey, it helps to ask anyway.

[IMG] I will just guess but I don't have any experience with fancy (polish, silkie, etc. ) crosses.
1- would have to have a parent with barred/cuckoo genes, I would guess silkie cross.
2- If you know if is pure then maybe just not show quality
3- I have heard that the light yellow tinge in white chickens can come from the food they eat, like corn. I think he might be a light sussex
4- might be a game cross, but looks like a black colored chicken with a gray color (like silver duckwing or something like that)
5- no clue, you guess is as good as mine, but probably a polish cross.
I don't know if that helps or makes it worse. [IMG]

JJ has a rose comb, not a pea comb. He looks like a SLW cross to me.

Wait, I just looked at a pea combed bird in my breed book and it looks like JJ's comb.

Birda looks like a Silver Campine /Polish cross.

I just seen a pic in another post that looks a lot like Elvis. You might could see if they know what theirs is and just maybe that will give you an answer on Elvis. The post is: Are me hens Ameraucanas or Easter Eggers? By: Sgsf
