Some of my chickens aren’t laying, why?

I have a Dominique that started laying a month ago and my five other chickens aren’t laying yet. I know the different breeds have different maturities and some take longer. If anyone has any information about when these chickens usually start laying please share.

How old are they? I’ve heard some take 6 to 8 months. Keep in mind that we’re going into winter in the northern hemisphere so some may not start until spring it just depends.

Do they look like they should be laying, bright red combs?

My chickens are 18 days away to being 8 months old

Their combs will darken to red as they near laying. What are you feeding them?
