I have a Dominique that started laying a month ago and my five other chickens aren’t laying yet. I know the different breeds have different maturities and some take longer. If anyone has any information about when these chickens usually start laying please share. 🙃

- Buff Orpington
- 2 Ameracaunas
- Speckled Sussex

How old are they? I’ve heard some take 6 to 8 months. Keep in mind that we’re going into winter in the northern hemisphere so some may not start until spring it just depends.
My chickens are 18 days away to being 8 months old

Do they look like they should be laying, bright red combs?
Pics would help....and maybe an exam:
