Some sort of cross breed or something special?

    We were given a dozen or so chickens by a man who just knocked on the door one day and asked if we had room for more. They belonged to his brother who moved out of state and all he knew was that some have been on the farm for years and some had come mail ordered as chicks around February of this year and were suppose to be ornamental or some how rare & special. We have identified pretty much all of them, even the giant Cochin "hen" that turned out to be a rooster. LOL
    Have not been able to find out what these ladies are. At least one has feathery feet, more feathery then some.

    Looks like a Dark Brahma Hen. There is a good resemblence of her on feathersite.com

    Yup, looks like a dark brahma hen to me also.

    I would say a brahma or cochin mixed with silver laced wyandotte
    very pretty! I have a few similar and they are mixed with slw

    her "behind" is pretty fluffy too, like my cochins! I love the feather pattern!

    It's pencil laced... wyandotte? Not sure but I think that's what the coloring is called.
