Hi! We had to postpone our gathering until tomorrow. While you all were enjoying your feasts, I was cooking and dinking around with the chickens.
We won't have green grass much longer here so I got some pics
This is my little flock of Mottled Japanese. They don't pose well...
...until I make the 'predator in the sky' call. Then they all pay attention.
This is Meringue and Bomb Jr. I had the other 3 white Silkie hens out, but they acted plumb crazy and wouldn't settle down so I put them back in 'their yard' before they hurt themselves (none of the girls see well and aren't comfortable in unfamiliar spaces).
These are my 'Tinker-Toy' birds --- the Modern Game bantams.
It's tough to catch a good shot of the mottled Cochins because the roo always has his butt in the air --- looking for goodies and calling the girls to 'come get what I just found'. What a gentleman!
