Phinny's feet are red and swollen and all along where his feathers are it looks like his skin is just so red it almost looks like it is stripped off. A toenail on each foot has shortened to a stub and is black. He is on my bathroom sink. I don't know how to help him. I can't let him go back outside. If you know anything, please help me.

Can you post a picture? I'm having trouble visualizing what is wrong.

For right now I would wash then in warm water with a gentle soap and pat dry gently. I would keep him in the house tonight until other people can read your post and try to figure out what is wrong.

Could he have stepped in any chemicals? Are his feet hot? Is this the first you are noticing it?

it certainly wouldn't hurt to start with a good layer of vaseline, At the very least, it should be soothing and offer some relief. Have you looked at pictures of leg mites?

No, I noticed first about 3 days ago and I treated with a weak solution of peroxide & warm water, then topped with antibiotic.
His toenails are turning black and receding back into his toe...one on one foot and another toenail is sticking straight up and looks thin and retarded.
